My sandbox
June 17, 2008
I was in the process of getting ready for vacation next week and thought I would borrow a page from Lindsey and post links to some of my other posts. So today I was reading back trough previous posts and I came upon a comment that stopped me in my tracks. I’m not sure how I missed it and to the person it was referring, I owe you an apology. I have deleted the comment and I regret that somehow I missed it when it was made.
I have in the past tried to politely remind people to be nice. Opinions can differ but the stating of said opinion should at least be done with respect. Unfortunately my attempt at a polite reminder failed. So here goes.
I don’t give a **** what you say to or about me personally. But I will NOT tolerate verbal attacks or abuse on this site. If you verbally attack my family, friends, readers, or posters, your comment will be deleted. And if you still feel the need to act like an ass I will moderate and delete yours.
I don’t believe in censorship so this was the first time I ever edited a reply. I am not saying that your opinions have to agree with mine. I don’t even care if you disagree with ever word I write on this site. But you will do so in a respectful way. I am not out to change your mind and I will not edit replies unless they cross the line from discussion to degrading.
I have no objections to you quoting one of the clobber scriptures and stating, “This is why I believe homosexuality is a sin.” That is your opinion based on scripture and that is fine. Everyone has an opinion and the right to say it. But if you continue your statement to say, “and that is why you will rot in hell.” That is a no no. Because you have gone from stating your opinion to judgment. Bad mouthing and degrading others will not be tolerated.
This is MY sandbox and MY rules and unless you can treat people with respect, I will ask you to take your shovel and go home.
Okay climbing down from my soapbox. To those of you that this doesn’t apply, I apologize for the rant.

Thanks Steph, It’s a shame it had to be written. My mom and my boys and I always get a cabin down in the mountains for a week. JB will be there for a day and 1/2. I am so looking forward to it.

Steph, yes I am looking forward to it very much. It is a modern cabin with electricity so we can have hot showers and cook on the stove, but no tv, no phone, and no computer.
e2tc, it was actually a comment you made that made me go up and more carefully read the posts above. I just wish I would have caught it earlier. Hugs back and I plan to have a wonderful time.
